08:20 Was able to board Avocet
09:00 W3 Sunny Left Oldbury Pill 09:15 Past Counts. Wind now light 09:37 Surging past hill Flats in W 2 09:57 Off Lydney. Enterprise 2083 heading for Berkeley Pill 10:17 No wind. Past W Purton 10:37 Anchored close to bank 300 m upstream of Brims 11:20 Rowed and sailed up to Brims and checked with fishermen that ok to enter the pill on upstream side. To my surprise the pill was not short and wide but continued at least a quarter mile up NE. BUT BEWARE CLAY PIGEON SHOOTERS upstream at 13:00 on Saturdays. 11:32 SW 2-3 Sailed out of pill 11:57 Opposite E Purton 12:17 SW 4 Opposite Sharpness 12:40 Sailed into narrow Hill Pill 12:47 turned round with long oars and sailed out of Hill Pill 13:27 Entered Oldbury Pill with plenty of water on mooring.
